PrusaMINI Filament Sensor Box With PC4-M10 Couplers
by patvibe
A while back, one of my PrusaXL filament guides' coupler started popping off, and I saw someone [posted](https://www.printables.com/model/699934-xl-filament-sensor-blocks-3x-and-6x-with-pc4-m10-p) a version that used PC4-M10 couplers (instead of the cheap metal Bowden collets). Around the same time, my PrusaMINIs had issues that required constant disassembly, including with the filament sensor box (was using weird filament). Not a fan of how the Bowden tubes are fitted into the MINI's sensor box. So I took the bores for the PC4-M10 and put them on the ends of the PrusaMINI's sensor box. Original sensor box stl files (`MINI-fsenzor-box.stl` and `MINI-fsenzor-cover.stl`) were taken from the [PrusaMINI GitHub](https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-MINI/tree/master/STL) repo. Teardown and assembly instructions at https://youtu.be/1KWwSi1VSMs # Tools * M2 driver * M3 driver * Pliers or 1cm wrench for the PC4-M10 (or you can just tighten by hand) # Parts * PC4-M10 Couplers (x2) * PrusaMINI sensor box parts * Mostly assuming you already have one with parts you're going to cannibalize * But also, you can check the [GitHub's BOM](https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-MINI/blob/master/BOM/FILAMENT%20SENSOR.md) # Assembly Instructions See the video included for assembly demo. For reference, the owner's assembly instructions are found [here](https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/building-your-mini_6384#7240), but don't go in-depth about the internals. # License The license is GPL, based off the STL file I copied the coupler bores from.
