Y-Filamentsplitter Bambulab AMS-Extern is an addon for the Bambulab X1/X1Carbon with AMS multi-material system. With the Y-Splitter it is possible to leave the AMS connected to the printer and still feed external filament from outside/next to the printer. All you have to do is turn off the AMS in the software and unload the filament. Now the external filament can be inserted through the Y-splitter and pulled out again after use to print with AMS again. There are already some other variants of Y-splitters, but there were problems with the AMS (filament got stuck or could not be fed). So we redesigned the Y-splitter and optimized the filament path. We also added pneumatic couplers to prevent the PTFE tubes from being pulled out during printing. We printed the component in PC-CF on the Bambulab and will also offer a version in SLS-Nylon PA12 for sale.
