Three Moon Crystal Display Shelf Multiple Parts
by GetPrinted3D
**UPDATE:** I'm uploading a second version of these shelves. They are the same pieces, but better made with smoother edges. You'll find the new STL files in the Zip folder *3MoonShelf by GHP3D v2.zip* This is a custom-crafted 3 Moon Shelf, perfect for displaying small items such as crystals, miniatures, jewelry, etc. It was carefully modeled for easy printing, assembling, and mounting. Each of the three pieces prints out on a standard-size printer (235x235 build surface). I've also included a single file of the "Whole" object for those of you with larger/mill printers. If you have a 400x400 print bed, scaling down to 98% will get it in one go. Enjoy! DIMENSIONS Center Shelf Only (Print x1) 20 x 20 x 4.72cm (7.87 x 7.87 x 1.86in) Crescent Moon Only (Print x2) 14.26 x 20 x 2cm (5.6 x 7.87 x 0.79in) Fully Assembled 40.62 x 20 x 4.72cm (16 x 7.87 x 1.86in) ASSEMBLY There are only two files - the center shelf and the crescent moon. You'll need to print two crescent moons and one center shelf. The moons are interchangeable - simply rotate 180 degrees. The moons should slide perfectly into place over the ends of the shelves. They are designed so that no filing is necessary. If they are a little loose, use glue (I recommend E6000) to secure them in place, and allow ample time to dry. MOUNTING There are two nail holes, exactly 8cm apart, located on the back of the center shelf. The holes are beveled so that the nail head nests inside the hole without slipping. Multicolor Parts / Layering: Should you decide to print this piece in multiple colors, I would suggest printing the center (full moon) in one color, but use your slicer's 'filament change / pause at height' settings to change the color as it gets to the shelves. Then print the side moons in the same color as the shelves. Just an idea I intend to try, but haven't had the time. I'll post more images when I get around to it.
