RT-350 'Clansman' pack radio for UV-5R, smartphone, meshtastic node, etc

Pack radios are cool, both most don't do UHF. Baofeng radios are cheap and handy, but don't look as nice. Through the magic of 3D printing, however, we make make something work here! This pack radio is modelled after the older British RT-350 radio, and aside from being a housing for a UV-5R type radio, it also acts as a station to house a smartphone, a meshtastic node, power banks for all of the above, and whatever else you like to stuff in (maybe a spare handmic?) You can use the smartphone as a WiFi hotspot to connect tablets and drones, as a Zello communication point, both, or more! All buttons on the radio are accessible ofc, and using an access port and a 3.5mm jack extension cord, you can connect hand mics or headsets for both radio and smartphone. If you don't have such equipment, this piece of equipment comes with a H-250 handset to shove cheap earpieces for both into ^^ (The smartphone earset needs an external Bluetooth camera clicker to use as a PTT, as the on board button shorts the mic and is therefore useless as a push-and-hold PTT) (And yes I know the H-250 isn't for the RT-350, but the round bits are easier to screw on) While the RT-350 might not be the most up-to-date piece of equipment for 2026, but it's still more likely you'll be the only one showing up with a pack radio so who really cares? The radio body is designed to hold the UV-5R with the large 3800mAh battery, and there is space for the charging cables of both the 'old' variety as well as the newer USB-C models. Fully printable on the A1 mini!
