Airless Brine Shrimp Hatchery
by Cylinse
I have printed a few of these in PLA+, black for the base and lid and transparent for the inner ring. They seem to hold water tight, and I have gotten several hatches out of them so far. Someone else might be able to do the math better, but for my simple mind, 2 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon +/- of brine shrimp eggs seem to yield a good hatch over 3 days. Our fish area is around 68-69 Deg F, and we keep a small USB powered spot light with a goose neck above these that we can shift from hatchery to hatchery. Per requests I have increased the wall thickness as well as the thickness of the bottom of the base. I also added a bit more of a lip to the lid to help it nest in. Life circumstances have left me without fish, so I will not be able to test this further. :(
