Dragon Head Fan Grill for 40mm Fan
by faultedlogic
UPDATE 09232023: I decided to add the Satsana fan duct to my CTC A10s as well. When I test fitted the dragon grill on the A10s, it just looked way too small so I fattened him up, plus, I'm not loving the design I used on the models bezel so I closed it up making the perimeter the same size as the Satsana's face. I'm leaving version 1 of this model here and calling the larger version V2. Last week I stumbled onto Greco1970's “Ender 3v2 Dragon head V Slot Cover” and printed it with hopes that it would dress up the frame of my CTC A10s printer. Once I saw how that tiny head looked atop that huge printer, I moved it to my Tronxy XY-2 Pro. Greco1970's model was intended to be attached to an Ender3v2 frame, and it does look very much like the dragon logo Creality uses for the Ender series, so I wanted to put it on an Ender3 Pro, but there aren't many places to mount it on that frame without risking it getting knocked and broken. Meanwhile, I'm using the Satsana cooling fan duct on that Ender3 Pro which doesn't have any protection on the heatbrake fan, so I thought “why not”? I printed this as oriented in the STL using “tree mode” supports and “touching buildplate”. The supports were easily removed, and it looks terrific IMO.
