Zigbee temperature & humidity sensor outdoor case (rain/sun shield)

by Jurriaan

I bought a few of those standard-size temperature / humidity sensors and wanted to put them outside, too. To allow for this, I created the housing that will take one sensor and provides wall mount holes for two m4 bolts, spaced apart 38 mm (~1.5 in). Print settings used: PLA White (if you are in a very hot climate or in a place where temperatures get really extreme, you might want to use a more heat-resistant material)Print upside down without supportsNozzle: 0.4 mmLayer height: 0.25 mmLine width: 0.44 mmInner wall: 0.52 mmTop&bottom shell: 3 layersSparse infill: 15% GridThe model requires printing overhangs cleanly, so make sure to enable enough cooling. Mine did print fine, but it could look nicer. For quality, consider sticking to smaller layer height and conservative speeds.
