This U shaped sea is decorated with a squatting character, who possesses human and animal features, particularly that of a feline or a bat. These figures have been interpreted as the presentation of a shaman going through different stages of his transformation through various spirits, which enable him to communicate with the supernatural world. This particular seat was found in Ecuador, in the Manabi Province.
