Phantom-class Intel Escort type 2 Able to conduct surprise ambushes and hit-and-run attacks upon enemy formations, the Phantom Escort's profile is designed to maximize its ability to stay hidden while it approaches hostile ships under cloak. To this end, the ship's hull consists of a small, flattened saucer hull with two compact, low-profile warp nacelles. Its rounded silhouette is similar to that of the Tactical Escort, though without a distinctive deflector "head" portion, more reminiscent of the Gallant-class Tactical Escort variant.
