K1 Max EZ-Load Bowden Guide

by HeraTech3D

This is a simple Design that mounts to the top-rear corner of the K1 Max's side panel. This modification allows a stable position to feed filament through. Subsequently, reducing tedious loadings of less-forgiving filaments such as TPU. By providing a stable position of the Bowden tube most of the forces from loading the filament are transferred into the filament; not the PTFE tubing run like default. This modification also makes it where the user is not having to hold the slippery PTFE tubing and attempt feeding new filament simultaneously. All around this modification makes loading and unloading filament much easier. *This modification should work with the regular K1 but is untested as I do not own it. If you print this for the K1 and it works I would love to know!* *Reviewing photos I do not believe this will fit the K1C as the bolt positions look much closer.* **BOM** This print does require purchase of: 2x PC4-M10 pneumatic connectors 1x longer run of PTFE to match your needs 2x M3*8 Button Head Screw (or equivalent) Pneumatic connectors I used: [link](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RDC3R3R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) PTFE Tubing I used: [link](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CUPV9KC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) M3*8 Screws I used: [link](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CP4B16KF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) **Installation** Installation of this is straight-forward: 1. Verify no debris or burs are within the internal channel 2. Install 2x Bowden pneumatic connectors 3. Remove 2x M3 screws in the top rear of the K1's plexiglass plate 4. Install guide using 2x M3x8 screws (OEM screws will be too short) 5. Install extended Bowden tube from rear connector of guide to the filament runout sensor (make sure this is not too tight so the bends are smooth) 6. Install input Bowden tube to front connector of guide (Standard length ~8" [203mm]) 7. Verify filament goes through new Bowden tubes and guide
