IKEA Parasoll & Myggbett Door Sensor Weather Resistant Outdoor Case – Zigbee Matter Smart Home | STL 3MF
by Chris3DPrintsStuff
Most Zigbee/Matter sensors are not designed to handle the weather outdoors (Don't ask me how many sensors I killed before I worked this out). Rain can instantly kill them and the temperature can make the sensor disconnect randomly. That is were this case design comes in! This protects your sensor/magnet and will help it survive the United Kingdom rainy weather! This style of case has now been tested by many members of the public and tested the same designed (with the Ikea Door/Window Sensor) on my own front gate and been great for the past 2 years! Shims now included for the sensor cover so 'matter' what orientation of if you have lost the original sensor mount, you can still use this case! Dimensions inside are designed to fit both Ikea Door/Window Sensors Sensor: 16mm Width x 82mm Height x 16mm Depth Magnet: 16mm Width x 82mm Height x 7.2mm Depth Mounting: - Use a screw through the case (Front to back is 24mm). - Zip tie to the post through the base holes (Max 7mm wide). Use a nut and bolt to seal the case (M3 20mm). Technical Notes: - I noticed while testing the sensor, it can detect further away based upon orientation of both the sensor & the magnet so I designed the case so you can rotate and experiment based upon what you need it for. - Do not use a rechargeable battery with your sensor as the voltage is heavily affected by the cold. --------------------------------------------------------- License: This work is licensed under a Standard Digital File License.
