Gameboy Advance SP (GBA SP) Motherboard Maintenance/Repair stand
by Deamoon
Hey! Alex here! This is my first 3D model ever so please be kind to me! The goal of this model is to elevate the GBA SP's motherboard while cleaning, soldering, repairing etc. This descreases the risk of accidentally knocking the board off the table and/or knocking the components off the board. It also stabilises the board so that it does not move as easily - especially if you choose the model that allows you to add weight on top. There are 4 versions of this model, I named them: Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Procifient, Expert. Beginner This is a simple stand for the motherboard, 5 pegs go through the holes in the motherboard while the 6th (middle) supports the motherboard in case on pressure. Advanced Beginner This is a more advanced version of the Beginner version (duh). The bottom of the stand is larger, this was done so that the user can put some weights on the sides but is not restricted to the weights I've used in the later models (spoiler alert, it's structual hole plates / Hålplatta in Sweden). You can use basically anything - I initially put my keyboard on left and a cup on the other. Procifient This is where it gets serious. This model has static pegs and two cutouts for 100 x 35 x 2,5 mm structual hole plates / Hålplatta in Sweden. The reason why I chose these plates is very simple, because I had them left over from another project and ready to go! In my opinion they have complemented the design (which otherwise is very simple). Expert This model has variable pegs and two cutouts for 100 x 35 x 2,5 mm structual hole plates / Hålplatta in Sweden. I have foreseen a scenario when I'd need to solder another volume slider component to the motherboard but one of the pegs would be in the way. Therefore I have separated the top part of the peg so that the user can take them out. This allows for the bottom peg to still support the motherboard from the bottom while allowing better access to the motherboard from certain angles. Limitations I have printed these model
