Bambu Lab P1P, P1S, X1, X1C Toolhead Front Cover Holder
by CW3D
This is designed to prevent the P1P, P1S, X1 and X1C's front cover housing assembly from flying off during printing. It is held on with some very tiny magnets, and it is a common issue to have it come loose during printing, especially at high speeds, with gyroid infill, and with higher enclosure temperatures. Prior to this, I was using tape in various places on the toolhead to hold the cover on, as most people do, but I was looking for a more elegant and secure solution as I've had my tape loosen while printing polycarbonate a few times due to the adhesive on the tape softening. I've been running this design on my printer for a couple of weeks now in-between prototypes finalizing the design, and it works as intended. It does go on snugly, and taking it off may require inserting a small plastic spatula on either side where the pegs lock into the holes, but it isn't terribly difficult to get on or off. Ideally I would print this in nylon if you print a lot of higher temp materials with higher chamber temperatures, but PLA also works for lower temp applications. The part uses very little material and prints quickly, so you can print a few of them at a time to have backups on-hand if desired.
